Domain Names / SSL Certificates
Please visit our domain management web site at www.bluethunderdomains.net. All you need to do is register and create an account for FREE and your ready to go. This is a totally independent domain management system that we run, so you are not tied to using us for hosting. It is however run by us so we provide the support for it. As well as domain names, you can also purchase SSL certificates, basic email and web site creator services.
A lot of hosts will register your domains in their names or with themselves as the domain contacts, so you cannot move away without their say so. This will often result in your domain being held hostage if you try to cancel your hosting and they will charge you to release the domain. We do not do this. Some hosts also often mislead customers by stating that you must transfer your domain to them if you host with them, this is also not true, you do not need to transfer your domain when you change hosts if you do not want to. You may host a domain anywhere simply by changing the name servers or editing your DNS records, as it is the DNS that specifies where your web site, email etc is hosted.
We give you full control over your own domain names, and you can login to www.bluethunderdomains.net at any time, change the name servers, edit your zone records, change contact details and everything else you need. So you should never again need to transfer your domain name. But you are free to do that too if you wish as it is all under your own control.
By default your domains will be set to use these name servers.
